Born in 1989, in Paris, to an actor/choreographer father and businesswoman/model mother, Volodia was surrounded in an artistic environment from a young age. After moving to Montreal in 1996, Volodia and his brothers learned acting from their father. It was around this time, at the age of 10, where Volodia began to play drums, followed by taking private lessons throughout his teenage years, and eventually got his double DEC in Arts et Lettres Theatres at CEGEP Jean-de-Brebeuf, and Musique Interprétation Batterie Jazz at Vincent d’Indy. The same year, he won first place at “Drummer Kombat”, the biggest drumming competition in Canada. Volodia continued his studies in jazz drumming and Afro-Cuban drumming with Paul Brochu at the University of Montreal. He worked with various artists all over America and Europe, most notably Jean Leloup, Le Cirque du Soleil, Jacynthe, Aliocha, and Sophia Bel, to name a few. Also, Volodia continues to act and landed numerous roles in short films, commercials, and videoclips. In 2016, he co-produced and co-directed with Marine Van Den Broek, his first videoclip, a drum composition of the song “Heartbeats”, by The Knife, which quickly accumulated over 2 million views and counting, across social media. Volodia is considered an artistic director, editor, and musician.
